Vision! Throughout Melissa Perry Moraja's life, she used color, music, and the power of the mind to
increase her productivity, enhance her relationships, discover more about herself, and get the most out
of life. Her passion to help other's discover more about themselves (self-awareness) and to trust their
gut instincts (confidence) led her to create a workshop called Get the Vibe! in 1993. Then in 2004, just
after her boy / girl twins were born, Melissa had a vision of creating colorful characters that would not
only teach her children about themselves while promoting creative learning, but also teach other
children.
Focus! Over the past five years, Melissa has been working behind the scenes on bringing her vision to
reality. While tending to her normal day to day activities of parenting her three children (who are less
than 16 months apart), she created educational characters, developed a marketing strategy, and
learned the ins and outs of publishing a children's book. At the same time, she also began writing two
motivational books--Empower Your Soul which teaches adults how to use and develop their intuition
and Get the Vibe! which teaches adults how to use color, music, and the power of the mind to get the
most out of life, and building her speaking platform.
Action! After almost three years of sending out query letters and making cold calls to children's and
self-help publishers and literary agents, Melissa decided to launch her own company. In 2009, Melissa
founded Melissa Productions, Inc. The company's focus is to offer products and services that promote
self-awareness and creative learning for people ages newborn and up. In 2009, Melissa successfully
wrote, illustrated, and published two children's books--Splatter and Friends--and a motivational
book--Get the Vibe!. In 2010, Melissa plans on publishing two additional Splatter and Friends stories, a
second children's book series targeted for 6 - 11 year olds, and a third inspirational book. As for her
long-term plans, she will continue building her speaking platform, writing children's and adults books,
and branch out with additional products such as audio and video.
